Premium Materials Only
We work exclusively with sustainably certified hardwoods — American black walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, and exotic species. Every board is hand-selected for grain, figure, and structural integrity before entering our shop.
Design-Forward Thinking
Our team partners with prominent designers, architects, and general contractors to guide every decision — from species and stain to hardware and finish details. We use 3D visualization so you see the final result before a single board is cut.
End-to-End Project Management

Founded in 2000 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Custom Woodworks SF Bay Area began with a single workshop and an unwavering commitment: to create woodwork so exceptional it becomes part of a home's story. We don't just build — we install everything ourselves, ensuring the same hands that crafted your cabinetry are the ones fitting it perfectly in place.
Under the direction of founder Mariusz Markiel, we've grown into one of the Bay Area's most trusted custom woodworking and installation contractors. Our team serves clients across San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Marin County, and the Peninsula — handling every step from design through final installation with precision and care.
We source sustainably harvested hardwoods from certified suppliers, partnering with prominent designers, architects, and general contractors — including m-architecture.com — to deliver results that are both beautiful and expertly installed.
